Clinical Supervision
Do you work in a profession where you take responsibility for people's wellbeing? Are you in need of professional support, but aren't sure where to turn? Are you feeling burnt out, over-loaded or unsure of best practice? Supervision might be exactly what you need, and is a requirement for all practising counsellors and psychotherapists.
Supervision can benefit anyone who takes professional responsibility for people, either privately or in an organisation – counsellors, trainers, course leaders, couple therapists, physios, consultants, healers, health care professionals (to name but a few) – as it offers a private, empathic space where both work-related issues and personal issues triggered in the workplace can be clarified and worked through.
In addition to professionals who contact me privately, I provide supervision for the teams at:
• Advice Place – Edinburgh University Students' Asscn.
• Social Bite – Social Impact Team
I believe that supervision is most effective when a trusting, respectful relationship develops between supervisor and supervisee/s, where success is celebrated and challenges are looked at collaboratively and non-judgementally. I’ve really benefitted from excellent supervision myself and have developed a deep respect for my supervisors. The supervision I’ve experienced has helped me to trust myself and to grow and deepen my skills as a therapist and I really enjoy supporting my own supervisees as they do the same.
I have a diploma in Transpersonal and Integrative Supervision and work with individuals and groups of up to 4 people.
Please contact me to find out more or to arrange an appointment. I offer supervision via Zoom (a free, better quality, confidential alternative to Skype). My fee is £65 per 50-55 min session.
